Mary Ann “Molly” Hilborn

In 1921, Molly and her father live alone. As a widow and a widower, they care for each other. As his health declines, Molly takes over the diary, though he sometimes writes in it. When not busy with her father and doing daily chores, she braids mats, quilts, sews, updates the decorating, travels to Port Elgin, and attends Women’s Institute (W. I.) and Missionary meetings.
