George Holmwood

George spends much of his time on the family farm located on the edge of the city of Guelph growing wheat, oats, turnips and potatoes. As the household head, he keeps careful records of the family’s business accounts and is often in town “attending manager meetings.” On weekends, George enjoys taking “Gibbie” to church, noting that every Sunday is a “fine day.” George writes in his diary every day for almost forty years.
