Mary Emily Parson Smith

In 1893 Mary is living with her father, a carriage maker, and her mother in Otterville.  She frequents the Baptist Church and Convention and has other excitement in her life.  Mary is getting married.  She lists all her wedding presents in the back of her first diary.  In September 1894 she becomes Mrs. Smith, honeymoons in Toronto, and moves to the farm. Her diary is rich with social visits, baking, housework, quilting and the many other responsibilities of a farm woman and mother.
