Elizabeth Simpson

Somehow Elizabeth tends her flourishing garden, expanding poultry yard and bee hives while keeping an eye on the lives of her seven children. Elizabeth’s close relationship with them is evident throughout her diary and they sometimes write in it – note the change in handwriting. Her son, Carver, writes his own journal, which is on this website. Over the years, her daughters assume more household chores leaving Elizabeth time to hook rugs and host garden parties.
