Edmund Wilson

In 1841 Edmund arrives in the Port Hope area from England with his parents and five brothers, two of whom die in 1842.  During his diary years, he is married and raises a family on the same concession as his brothers’ farms.  Edmund keeps his diary during  his active farming years and records household and farm purchases in great detail.  Two of his unmarried children continue to live with him, Margaret and Edmund Jr.  After he retires and the diary ends, they take over the farm and his care.
