Biography:

Frances is a busy, talented women. She is very active in her church teaching Sunday School and serving as President of the Women’s Missionary Society. Through the war years, she invests in Victory Bonds, knits and sews shirts for the Red Cross, and strategizes on how to feed her family during food rationing. During the hay harvest, when men are in short supply, she drives the tractor. She even composes comical, heartwarming poems about canning with sugar rations and her twin grandchildren.
