Biography:

James lives with his parents and siblings in Quaker Hill just west of Uxbridge. He helps on his father’s farm and takes on additional paid work including selling plows and delivering and setting headstones. The family is originally listed in the 1851 census as German Quakers but later as English and Presbyterian or Methodist. When James dies he is buried in the Friends Burial Ground.
