Biography:

John and Annie haven’t started their family yet but nevertheless have a busy household. John augments their farm income by producing quick lime in his kiln for use in mortar and fertilizer. He also sells cordwood and pole wood in Lancaster. He keeps account of his sales and what he purchases too including a fanning mill, mower-reaper, moccasins, barrel of herrings and coal oil.
